persona para ejercer con seguridad su labor de enfermera titulada recién licenciada. Cada jurisdicción en Estados Unidos y sus territorios regula la
entrada en la práctica de la
enfermería; cada uno de ellos exige al candidato la superación
del examen. El contenido
del examen está pensado
para probar los conocimientos
del candidato sobre el
proceso de la
enfermería, aplicado a las amplias áreas de la práctica de la
enfermería, incluyendo la
salud maternoinfantil, la
enfermería médica y quirúrgica y la
enfermería psiquiátrica.
